My Videos

Below are some simple videos I put together. Some were at the request of others, some I just did because I wanted to.

“Clouds” (7:08)

I’ve always loved clouds and living on a hill with a broad southwestern vista lets me see plenty of great clouds. Trips to Nantucket and Isle au Haut Maine has helped me grow my gallery of cloud photos.

Here I’ve put several of my photos to Leonard Bernstein’s “Symphonic Dances from ‘West Side Story'”. I tried to post the video to YouTube like other videos of mine, but the video got blocked for copyright infringement for the music…so I just uploaded to my website instead.

A video of several of my cloud photos accompanied by music.

“Open Fields” (4:32)

A local composer/actor/artist named Renee Fister asked if I would put his original compostion, “Open Fields” to images of Lincoln that showed the towns rural beauty. I gladly agreed. Although not all the images in the video are mine, most are. The video was used as a promotion for Codman Community Farms, a local non-profit managed by volunteers from the town.

“Fall in Lincoln” (4:47)

A short video of photos I’ve taken in the the fall set to Joseph Kozma’s song “Autumn Leaves” written in 1945.

“Memories of Isle au Haut” (4:46)

The lovely rambling red house in the video is located on the northern tip of the small isle off thr coast of Stonington Maine, Isle au Haut. The island was named by Samuel Champlain during his exploration of North America.

Build in the late 1800’s “The Club” on Isle au Haut refers to the Point Lookout Club, a summer colony. The area was named Point Lookout, Maine, with its own post office and ZIP code. (The post office remains, but is no longer in use by the USPS.  In its heydays “The Club” included a private staff, tennis courts, a clubhouse-cum-hotel, and a pier.

By the late 1950’s “The Club” was in severe disrepair and was bought by a family from Lincoln MA. With LOTS of blood, sweat and tears, and as few dollars as needed, the building was saved and serves as a gathering place for families and friends in the summer. Tucker and I have been blessed by our friendship with the current owners of “The Club” and we return for several days most summers to join once again with old friends.
