Until Then I’ll Suffer

A wonderfully soulful R&B song from 1971. Like many people who didn’t follow the Billboard R&B charts back then, I totally missed this song when it was released. Sorry I had to wait until earlier this year to find it because it is a great soul song. Barbara is a fantastic soul singer. The song was written by Barbara Lynn herself and was recorded in 1968 for a twelve cut album that got very little recognition. It took 3 years for the song to get released as a single. Barbara had one other “hit”, that being “You’ll Lose A Good Thing”, which was released in 1962 and made it to the Top Ten on both Billboard’s Pop and R&B charts.
